LOCATION: My office is in The Mosby Building, 10560 Main Street, Fairfax, Virginia which is easily accessible from any location in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area. There is plenty of free parking.
VALUE: I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner (LSATP). I listen very carefully to clients as they tell me of their concerns. I am also dedicated to being a lifetime learner so I am enrolled in educational programs most of the time. This brings added value to the work as I use all of my skills in assisting therapy clients to unlock the past and to gain insights into who they are. We discover strengths and begin to use them as building blocks for the present and the future. STYLE: I tailor the therapy to meet the exact needs of the individual, couple or family. I offer both short term and long term treatment. We assess what is working and what is not working in your life so that we can make the necessary changes for a much happier style of living. . . FREE CONSULTATION: I offer a free in person or phone consultation to get acquainted. This is a good time for you to ask questions about psychotherapy and about the way I work. Phone Kathy Zaepfel, LCSW, LSATP, PC at: (703) 350-0460 or send an E-mail message to Kbzaepfel@aol.com. Let me know by phone or E-mail if you would like to receive my FREE quarterly Newsletter, From The Heart. COUNSELING CLIENTS: FEES: My fees are comparable to those of my colleagues. If the fee is an issue for you, we will talk about it and work something out.
by: Kathy Zaepfel Having a theme for your life can be a deeply enriching way to welcome new information. I found myself focusing on "authenticity" through 1999. Just declaring this theme to myself and others created an attraction which brought a multitude of information to me. this helped me to enrich my ability to be authentic, and my clients reported a similar experience. This year my theme is love. I see the pain of so many clients who feel that they exist without love. As I continue my studies at the Imagery Institute, I understand the depth of some really unbearable wounds that leave people feeling unloved and unlovable. My classmates and I (all therapists) are learning how to assist people in going inward to locate these very deep wounds and to help them heal.
Since I declared my theme for this year, I again am overwhelmed with book
titles about love, as well as journal articles, newsletters, stories, and
discussions among friends and colleagues. I urge each of you to open
yourself to whatever learning would be significant to you. Just allow your
intuition to lead you to the theme and watch how it creates an attraction to
you. You may be as surprised as I have been in the way that information just
begins to appear when least expected. | ||||
